Career

Mahajan, the daughter of Sitar artist Pandit Vidur Mahajan, was born in Talegaon Dabhade, Pune, Maharashtra. She grew up accompanying her father on his sitar performances and later began performing solo.

After completing her schooling at Trimble Tech High School in Texas, Mahajan pursued a master’s degree in philosophy from the University of Pune. Alongside her academic pursuits, she delved into theater and cinema, working across Marathi, English, Hindi, and Malayalam language films. In 2012, she made her film debut with a role in the English film “Midnight’s Children,” portraying the character of young Naseem. This marked her entry into the world of cinema.

Mahajan continued her journey in cinema, appearing in various Marathi, Hindi, and English films over the years. Some of her notable roles include Maya in “Feast of Varanasi” (2014), Abha in “Coffee Ani Barach Kahi” (2015), and Yashoda in “Nilkanth Master” (2015). In 2019, she ventured into the digital space with a role in the Netflix series “Leila,” further expanding her repertoire.

Her recent works include roles in films like “Extraction” (2020), where she portrayed Neysa, and “Koi Jaane Na” (2021), where she played Bindiya. Additionally, she has appeared in Marathi films such as “Gadad Andhar” (2023), continuing to showcase her versatility as an actress.
