Neeru Bajwa was born on 26 August 1980 in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. Her parents, who had moved from Punjab, brought her up in a middle-class family. Her given name is Arshvir Kaur Bajwa, and she is currently 43 years old as of 2023. Her father, Late Jaswant Bajwa, worked as an engineer, while her mother, Surinder Bajwa, took care of the home.

Neeru has three siblings, including a brother named Suhail and two sisters – Rubina, who is an actress, and Sabrina, a cloth designer. In terms of education, she decided to leave high school as academics didn’t interest her much. Neeru always harbored a dream of becoming an actress since her childhood days.

Career

Bajwa began her career in Indian soap operas back in 2005 with “Hari Mirchi Lal Mirchi” on DD1. She then moved on to other shows like “Astitva…Ek Prem Kahani” on Zee TV, “Jeet” on Star Plus, and “Guns and Roses” on STAR One.

In January 2013, Bajwa stepped into Punjabi cinema with the multi-starrer film “Saadi Love Story,” produced by Jimmy Sheirgill productions and directed by Dheeraj Rattan. The movie featured stars like Diljit Dosanjh, Amrinder Gill, and Surveen Chawla. Following this, she paired up with Diljit Dosanjh again for the film “Jatt and Juliet 2,” which set new records for opening day collections in Punjabi cinema. In August 2013, her film “Naughty Jatts” was released, co-starring Binnu Dhillon, Arya Babbar, and Roshan Prince. The film received mixed reviews from critics.

In 2017, Bajwa made her directorial debut with the Punjabi film “Sargi,” starring her sister Rubina Bajwa, Jassi Gill, and Babbal Rai. She also owns a production company called Neeru Bajwa Entertainment. In November 2019, she started filming for “Beautiful Billo,” a film she starred in and produced, sharing the screen with her sister Rubina Bajwa.
