Nayanthara began her acting career in 2003 with the Malayalam film “Manassinakkare.” Initially, she wasn’t interested in films but accepted a role in the movie after being approached by director Sathyan Anthikkad. Her performance in “Manassinakkare” garnered attention, leading to more acting offers.
In 2004, Nayanthara appeared in two significant Malayalam films: “Natturajavu” and “Vismayathumbathu,” alongside Mohanlal. Her portrayal in “Vismayathumbathu” was particularly praised by critics.
She ventured into Tamil cinema in 2005 with “Ayya” and gained recognition for her debut performance. Subsequently, she starred in the blockbuster “Chandramukhi,” which solidified her position in the Tamil film industry. Throughout the mid-2000s, Nayanthara continued to work in Tamil and Telugu cinema, appearing in notable films like “Ghajini,” “Vallavan,” and “E.”
In 2007, she achieved widespread acclaim for her role in the gangster film “Billa.” Her performance earned her nominations and awards, establishing her as a prominent actress in Tamil cinema.
