Mrinal Kulkarni’s journey in the world of entertainment began at the age of 16 when she appeared as Ramabai Peshwa in the Marathi TV serial “Swami.” Her portrayal alongside Ravindra Mankani earned her popularity. Initially, she had dreams of pursuing a doctorate in philosophy, but the allure of acting kept drawing her in.

In 1994, she decided to pursue acting as a career, captivated by the array of offers that came her way. She ventured into various successful roles in TV serials such as “Shrikant,” “The Great Maratha,” “Draupadi,” “Hasratein,” “Meerabai,” “Teacher,” “Khel,” “Sparsh,” and “Sonpari.” Among these, her role in “Avantika” received notable acclaim. Mrinal became renowned for portraying historical characters like Meerabai, Draupadi, and Ahilya Bai Holkar.

Alongside her TV appearances, she also ventured into advertisements. Her acting prowess extended beyond television to both Marathi and Bollywood films. Mrinal’s directorial debut came with the Marathi film “Prem Mhanje… Prem Mhanje…. Prem Asta,” followed by the historical drama “Rama Madhav.”
