Career

Before transitioning to acting, Ganguly began her career in modelling, featuring in numerous TV and print ads for various brands such as Pears, Rin, Ponds Face Wash, and many more. She also gained experience as an assistant director before stepping into the spotlight as an actress.

Ganguly’s acting journey commenced in April 2001 when she landed the lead role of Shaina in the popular TV series “Kaahin Kissii Roz.” The show received high praise and continued until September 2004. Following this success, she appeared in other notable shows like “Kutumb” and “Kkusum.” In 2004, she starred in the Sony TV serial “Saaksshi” opposite Samir Soni and Amit Sadh.

Her television acclaim opened doors for a role in Rituporno Ghosh’s critically acclaimed movie “Raincoat” in 2004, where she shared the screen with Aishwarya Rai and Ajay Devgan. After a hiatus, Ganguly made a comeback in 2008 with “Aathvaan Vachan.” In 2009, she participated in the reality dance show “Nach Baliye” alongside her then-boyfriend and co-star Mazher Sayed.

Ganguly showcased her versatility by portraying the role of an antagonist in the serial “Kya Huaa Tera Vaada” in 2012, playing the part of a shrewd businesswoman involved in a romantic entanglement with a married man. She returned to television as an antagonist once again in 2016, this time in Season 3 of Zee TV’s popular show “Jamai Raja.”
