Malik began her acting career with roles in several television series. In 2001, she appeared in “Yeh Hai Mumbai Meri Jaan” and “Astitva…Ek Prem Kahani.” In 2002, she portrayed Nalini, a patient, in “Sanjivani.” Her role as Bua Ji in the 2006 series “Woh Hue Na Hamare” marked her first negative character.
