Career

Malik began her acting career with roles in several television series. In 2001, she appeared in “Yeh Hai Mumbai Meri Jaan” and “Astitva…Ek Prem Kahani.” In 2002, she portrayed Nalini, a patient, in “Sanjivani.” Her role as Bua Ji in the 2006 series “Woh Hue Na Hamare” marked her first negative character.

From 2007 to 2008, she played Suvarna Thakral in “Har Ghar Kuch Kehta Hai” and appeared as Revati in “Radhaa Ki Betiyaan Kuch Kar Dikhayengi” in 2008. Malik gained significant recognition from 2009 to 2012, playing the leading role of Ammaji in the television series “Na Aana Is Des Laado.” Her performance earned her widespread acclaim. During this time, she also participated in “Kitchen Champion,” where she appeared as herself and won the competition.

In 2013, Malik joined the dance reality show “Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 6” as a contestant with choreographer Savio Barnes but was eliminated on June 22, 2013.
