Career

In 2011, Maithili Thakur appeared on the TV show Little Champs, a singing competition aired on Zee TV. Four years later, she competed in Indian Idol Junior on Sony TV. Thakur emerged as the winner of the “I Genius Young Singing Star” competition in 2016. Following her win, she released her album titled Ya Rabba under Universal Music.

In 2017, Thakur participated in the first season of Rising Star, another singing competition on television. She gained attention for her rendition of Om Namah Shivaya, which secured her a direct spot in the final as the first finalist. Despite being the runner-up, losing by only two votes, her popularity surged, especially on the internet.

From 2019 onward, Thakur, along with her brothers Rishav and Ayachi, garnered significant success through their performances at various national and international events, including literature festivals. Notably, they were appointed as brand ambassadors of Madhubani by the Election Commission in 2019.

Thakur, along with her brothers, runs a successful YouTube channel where they sing the famous Ramcharitmanas by Tulsidas. This series, known as Manaspath, has achieved remarkable success, with the siblings reaching their 268th episode as of August 13, 2022, covering the couplet (doha) number 168 of Ayodhya kanda.
