Career

In 2006, Mahira Khan began her career as a VJ on MTV Pakistan’s live show “Most Wanted.” She later hosted AAG TV’s reality show “Weekends with Mahira” in 2008. In 2011, Khan made her film debut in Shoaib Mansoor’s “Bol,” where she played Ayesha, a girl from a conservative family in Lahore. The film was a success, and she also debuted in TV dramas with “Neeyat,” directed by Mehreen Jabbar.

From 2012 to 2017, Khan gained recognition for her roles in dramas like “Humsafar” and “Shehr-e-Zaat.” She also hosted the talk show “TUC: The Lighter Side of Life.” In 2014, she starred in the drama serial “Sadqay Tumhare” and in 2015, appeared in the film “Bin Roye” and the biographical film “Manto.”

In 2016, Khan starred in the film “Ho Mann Jahaan,” which earned her a Lux Style Award. She then made her debut in the Indian film industry with “Raees” alongside Shah Rukh Khan. In 2017, Khan began her singing career and starred in Shoaib Mansoor’s film “Verna.” Despite controversies surrounding her role in “Raees,” the film was a commercial success.
