Raai Laxmi began her acting career in 2005 with the Tamil film “Karka Kasadara.” This marked her entry into the South Indian film industry. Shortly after, she ventured into Kannada cinema with “Valmiki” opposite Shiva Rajkumar. In the same year, she appeared in the Tamil comedy “Kundakka Mandakka” and gained attention for her performances.

Continuing her success, Laxmi made her Malayalam debut in 2007 with “Rock n’ Roll” alongside Mohanlal. This was followed by notable roles in films like “Annan Thampi,” “Evidam Swargamanu,” and “Chattambinadu,” establishing herself as a versatile actor across multiple languages.

By 2008, Laxmi started to explore more diverse roles. She portrayed herself in the drama “Velli Thirai” and received acclaim for her portrayal of a lawyer in the action thriller “Dhaam Dhoom.” This role earned her a Filmfare Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress.

In 2010, she continued to expand her repertoire with appearances in films like “Ghost House Inn,” “Pen Singam,” and “Irumbukkottai Murattu Singam,” showcasing her versatility and range as an actor.
