Keerthy Suresh was born on October 17, 1992, in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. Her mom is an actress named Menaka, and her dad is a film producer named G. Suresh Kumar. She went to school in Chennai until the fourth grade, then attended Kendriya Vidyalaya in Thiruvananthapuram. Keerthy graduated in fashion design from Pearl Academy in Chennai. She has an older sister, Revathy Suresh, who works with special effects.

Keerthy started doing TV ads and small roles in movies when she was very young. Even though she wanted to act, she also liked fashion design. Keerthy did a two-month internship in London and then spent four months in Scotland.
