Career

Kanye West started his music career in 1990 by making music for local artists. In the same year, he formed a rap group named “Go-Getters” with fellow rappers GLC, Timmy G, and Doe. Their album “World Record Holders” was released in 1999. In 2003, West released his first mixtape titled “Get Well Soon.”

The breakthrough in West’s career came in 2004 when he released his debut album “The College Dropout” under Roc-A-Fella Records. It ranked 2nd on the Billboard 200 chart. The following year, he released his second album “Late Registration” (2005) and then “Graduation” in 2007. In 2008, his fourth album “808s & Heartbreak” was released.

In 2010, West released his highly acclaimed album “My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy” which received praise from critics. This success continued with his sixth album “Yeezus” in 2013. He released his seventh studio album “The Life Of Pablo” in 2016.
