Career

In February 2006, Kamiya Jani embarked on her journalism journey at The Times of India. She then transitioned to CNBC TV18 in June 2006, where she served as a correspondent and sub-editor for 1.8 years. Kamiya’s knack for storytelling led her to Bloomberg UTV in February 2008, where she worked as an Anchor and Associate Producer for 2 years, focusing on lifestyle, travel, and entertainment shows.

By February 2010, Kamiya joined ET Now as a Financial Market Anchor and simultaneously worked as a Travel Anchor with MagicBricks Now. However, her true passion for local discovery and travel sparked a new direction. Feeling uninspired by the routine of TV shows, Kamiya took a bold step in 2016, launching her own blog channel on YouTube called Curly Tales.

Initially, Curly Tales started with short text-based videos but quickly evolved into engaging food and travel blogs. Kamiya hosts various shows on her channel, including the celebrity talk show “Sunday Brunch” and travel series like “Tere Gully Mein” and “Street Stories.”

As Curly Tales gained traction, Kamiya transitioned into entrepreneurship, founding and serving as the Editor-in-Chief of Curly Tales. With a team of over 20 people based in Mumbai, Curly Tales became a go-to platform for food, travel, experiences, and lifestyle content.

In 2019, Kamiya’s show “Curly Tales” made its television debut on The Q India channel, reaching a wider audience with its captivating travel narratives and culinary explorations. Through her journey, Kamiya has embraced her inner calling, creating a space where people of all ages can indulge in the joys of discovery and adventure.
