Career
After the murder of Jyotirmoy Dey on 11 June 2011, Vora was implicated under MCOCA along with 10 others, including Chhota Rajan. At the time, she held the position of deputy chief of bureau at the Mumbai bureau of the Indian English newspaper The Asian Age. Additionally, she served as an anchor for Zee News in 2017.
Vora penned a biographical memoir titled “Behind Bars in Byculla: My Days in Prison,” which recounts her journalism career and the seven years she spent undergoing trial. Penguin India published the book in September 2019.
In 2019, Matchbox Pictures secured the rights to Vora’s memoir, “Behind Bars in Byculla: My Days in Prison.” The series adaptation, titled “Scoop,” was released on Netflix in 2023.
