Career
In 2007, Ricci made her major acting debut in the direct-to-video film American Pie Presents: Beta House. She then secured a recurring role on the Disney XD series Aaron Stone. The previous year, in 2006, she appeared in the music video “Hate (I Really Don’t Like You)” by the Plain White T’s, playing the role of the ex-girlfriend.
By 2009, Ricci was making appearances in American television productions with minor roles on popular series such as How I Met Your Mother, House, and Greek. That same year, she had a recurring role as Sasha on the Comedy Central series Secret Girlfriend. In 2010, Ricci co-starred in the live-action Cartoon Network series Unnatural History as Maggie Winnock and appeared in a Clean & Clear commercial as herself. She also starred in the short film Valediction in 2011. In 2013, she appeared in a small role in Joseph Gordon-Levitt’s directorial debut film Don Jon.
From 2014 to 2015, Ricci starred as April Carver in the ABC Family series Chasing Life. In December 2015, she joined the cast of Supergirl as Siobhan Smythe / Silver Banshee. The following year, in September 2016, Ricci joined the ABC political drama Designated Survivor as Emily Rhodes. The show was later picked up by Netflix for a third season, which premiered in June 2019.
Ricci also appeared in several Hallmark Channel films, including Rome in Love and Love in Winterland. In 2022, she starred as Dr. Sydney Burke in the Netflix series The Imperfects, which premiered on September 8. In 2023, Ricci appeared in the Hallmark Channel film Catch Me If You Claus.
