Career

Esha Kansara’s acting career began in 2010 with the Hindi TV serial “Mukti Bandhan,” an adaptation of Shri Harkisan Mehta’s famous novel. Presented by Shobhana Desai’s Production Pvt. Ltd., “Mukti Bandhan” revolved around the story of a self-made businessman, I.M. Virani, and his daughter-in-law Devki Shah Virani, played by Esha as the female protagonist. Following this, she went on to play roles in other Hindi serials, such as “Ek Nanad Ki Khushiyon Ki Chaabi…Meri Bhabhi” and “Maddam Sir.”

In “Ek Nanad Ki Khushiyon Ki Chaabi, Meri Bhabhi,” Esha portrayed Kritika (Kittu), a character that highlighted the loving bond shared between a sister-in-law and daughter-in-law. Shraddha, the nanad, finds a friend in Kritika, her bhabhi. Esha also made a cameo appearance in “Maddam Sir,” aired on SAB TV, where she played Misri Pandey, a bratty police officer. Through Misri Pandey, Esha explored a grey shade as an actor and became quite popular in this role.

Before her stint in “Maddam Sir,” Esha played the role of Radha in the sitcom series “My Name Ijj Lakkhan” opposite Shreyas Talpade. This 26-episode series featured notable actors like Archana Puran Singh and Parmeet Sethi. The plot revolved around Lakhan, a small-time goon whose good nature eventually leads him to the right path. He loves his parents and decides to earn money through honest work as his father wanted.

In 2021, Esha starred in another Hindi TV serial, “Zindagi Mere Ghar Aana,” where she played Amrita. The storyline focused on Amrita and Pritam, two contrasting personalities who encounter each other when Pritam becomes a tenant. While he is a pessimist, Amrita is always looking for the bright side in everyday things.

Esha also ventured into Gujarati cinema. She made her debut in 2017 with “Duniyadaari” opposite Malhar Thakar. A remake of the Marathi movie “Duniyadari,” the film is set in the mid-70s and explores themes of love, friendship, relationships, and destiny. The story captures the emotions of youth and their romantic journeys, highlighting what destiny has in store for them.

In 2018, Esha starred in the Gujarati film “Midnights with Menka” opposite Malhar Thakar. She played the lead role of Esha, a dumb character and a top heroine in cable TV ads, who is also the biggest fangirl of Malhar Thakar’s character, Meet Mehta. That same year, she appeared in another Gujarati film, “Vandha Vilas,” portraying Shivani. Later in 2018, Esha starred in “Mijaaj” opposite Malhar Thakar, where she tried her hand at action for the first time.

In 2022, she starred in a Gujarati romantic film titled “Prem Prakaran,” a coming-of-age story featuring a love triangle with Gaurav Paswala and Deeksha Joshi. Esha played Riya, a character in a story about a small-town boy named Adi, who becomes the heartthrob singer of Gujarat.

Her recent film, “3 Ekka,” has been a major success. In “3 Ekka,” Esha plays the role of Jhanvi, a craft teacher whose morals and values challenge her boyfriend, played by Yash Soni, who resorts to gambling to help his friends in trouble.
