Early Life

Elçin Sangu was born on August 13, 1985, in İzmir, Turkey. She is the only child in her family, which is of Circassian descent. Elçin graduated from the Opera Department at Mersin University and also took acting lessons at the Sahne Tozu Theatre.

Career

In 2011, she landed a role as Jale in the Kanal D drama series “Öyle Bir Geçer Zaman ki.” In this show, Elçin not only acted but also showcased her singing and piano-playing skills. Following that, she played the lead character Nehir in “Aşk Kaç Beden Giyer” from 2012 to 2013. Then, from 2013 to 2014, she portrayed Eda in “Bir Aşk Hikâyesi,” an adaptation of the South Korean series “I’m Sorry, I Love You.” In 2014, Elçin took on the role of Güzide in the historical drama series “Kurt Seyit ve Şura,” which was filmed in Russia, Turkey, and Ukraine.

Continuing her successful career, she starred in the 2015 aTV series “Sevdam Alabora” and began her role in “Kiralık Aşk” the same year. In 2016, she became the face of Sunsilk care products and Boyner. The popular romantic comedy series “Kiralık Aşk” aired on Star TV until its conclusion in January 2017, earning Elçin praise for her performance.
