Chen Yao began her acting journey with the youth sports drama “Go! Goal! Fighting!” in 2016. Before that, she had a role as the main antagonist Yue Qiluo in the fantasy web series “Wu Xin: The Monster Killer” in 2015, which gained her widespread recognition.
Her breakthrough performance in “Wu Xin: The Monster Killer” earned her the Best Supporting Actress award at the Golden Guduo Media Awards. Following this success, in 2016, she joined the cast of the drama “Legend of Nine Tails Fox” and starred in her first leading role in “So Young.”
