Career

Catherine began her acting journey in 2010 with the Kannada film Shankar IPS, starring opposite Duniya Vijay. Following this, she ventured into Malayalam cinema with roles in The Thriller and Uppukandam Brothers: Back in Action.

In 2011, Catherine took on a challenging role in the Kannada film Vishnu, which she described as quite different from her real-life persona.

Her breakthrough came with the Kannada film Godfather in which she starred alongside Upendra. Her portrayal of an older mentally challenged woman earned her critical acclaim and her first nomination for Best Supporting Actress at the 60th Filmfare Awards South.

Next, she appeared in Chammak Challo directed by Neelakanta, where she portrayed an urbane and dynamic character. Although the film didn’t perform well commercially, Catherine received positive reviews for her performance, with critics praising her potential to become a future superstar.

Catherine then made her mark in Telugu cinema with Puri Jagannadh’s Iddarammayilatho in 2013, where she received rave reviews for her role as Akanksha. Her performance garnered praise for its suitability to the character.

Following this success, Catherine appeared in Paisa, playing a Muslim character with a contrasting personality to her previous role. She then ventured into Tamil cinema with Madras in 2014, opposite Karthi, and later starred in Kanithan alongside Atharvaa.

In addition to her Tamil projects, Catherine continued her journey in Telugu cinema with roles in Gunasekhar’s Rudhramadevi and Erra Bus, directed and produced by Dasari Narayana Rao.
