Career
Boney Kapoor began his career under the guidance of renowned filmmakers like Shakti Samanta. His most notable production, “Mr India,” directed by Shekhar Kapur, featured his brother Anil Kapoor and future wife Sridevi. Released in 1987, the film became a cult classic in India, known for iconic lines like “Mogambo khush hua” and memorable songs like “Hawa Hawaii.” It was a major success, earning a place in lists of top Bollywood films.
Following “Mr India,” Kapoor continued to make significant contributions to Bollywood. He produced “Hum Paanch,” which played a pivotal role in establishing actors like Mithun Chakraborty and Amrish Puri. Kapoor also launched several newcomers into the industry through his productions, such as Anil Kapoor in “Woh Saat Din,” Sanjay Kapoor and Tabu in “Prem,” and Esha Deol in “Koi Mere Dil Se Poochhe.”
