Career

Omar began her career as a model and appeared in commercials for brands like Kurkure, Harpic, Capri, Pantene, and Zong. At the age of eight, she hosted the show “Meray Bachpan Kay Din” on PTV. Later, she hosted several morning shows including “Yeh Waqt Hai Mera” on CNBC Pakistan, “Rhythm” on Prime TV, and “Hot Chocolate” on ARY Zauq.

She made her acting debut with the serial “College Jeans” on PTV. Following this, she appeared in Geo TV’s drama serial “Dolly Ki Ayegi Baraat” alongside renowned actors like Bushra Ansari, Saba Hameed, and Jawed Sheikh.

Since 2009, she has been a part of the popular sitcom “Bulbulay” where she plays the role of Khoobsurat, opposite actor Nabeel. The show gained immense popularity and made Omar a household name.

Omar has also appeared in other television dramas like “Dil Ko Manana Aya Nahi” on PTV and “Ladies Park” on Geo TV. In 2012, she starred in Hum TV’s successful romantic-drama serial “Zindagi Gulzar Hai” where she portrayed the character Sara.

In 2013, she played the main antagonist Arzoo in the drama serial “Tanhai” on Hum TV. She also appeared in other television dramas like “Soha or Savera” on Geo Kahani and “Woh Chaar” on Hum TV. Apart from television, Omar has performed item songs in Pakistani films including “Love Mein Ghum” and “Main Hoon Shahid Afridi”.

Her film career began with the lead role in Wajahat Rauf’s road drama film “Karachi Se Lahore” where she was paired opposite Shehzad Sheikh. The film received mixed reviews but performed well at the box office.

In 2017, she appeared in the film “Yalghaar” where she played the character Zarmina. Her next film was a special appearance in “Saat Din Mohabbat In” opposite Sheheryar Munawar, which was a box office success. In 2019, she played a supporting character in the romantic-drama film “Kaaf Kangana”, directed by Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar.
