Asin, known for her roles in Indian cinema, began her career with an advertisement for BPL Mobile. Her debut in Malayalam cinema was in 2001 with “Narendran Makan Jayakanthan Vaka” when she was just 15 years old. After a break for education, she returned with a bang in her breakthrough film, “Amma Nanna O Tamila Ammayi,” opposite Ravi Teja, earning her the Telugu Filmfare Award for Best Actress. This success continued with films like “Shivamani,” “Lakshmi Narasimha,” and “Gharshana,” where she played the love interest of police officers.
Her entry into Tamil cinema happened with “M. Kumaran Son of Mahalakshmi” alongside Jayam Ravi, reprising her role from her Telugu debut. Despite a delay, her film “Ullam Ketkumae” turned out to be a successful venture, opening up more opportunities for her.
