Arshad Warsi began his acting career in 1996 with a small appearance in the song of the film “Aag Se Khelenge”. He then got his first significant offer to act in Amitabh Bachchan’s production company, Amitabh Bachchan Corporation’s debut production, “Tere Mere Sapne”. Following this, he appeared in various films such as “Betaabi” (1997), “Mere Do Anmol Ratan”, and “Hero Hindustani” (both in 1998).
In 1999, Warsi’s performance in “Hogi Pyaar Ki Jeet” received praise from critics. However, “Trishakti”, released the same year, did not fare well at the box office. Over the next few years, he appeared in films like “Ghaath” (2001), “Mujhe Meri Biwi Se Bachaao” (2001), and “Jaani Dushman: Ek Anokhi Kahani” (2002), most of which didn’t perform strongly commercially.
In 2003, Warsi rose to fame with his role as Circuit in the comedy “Munna Bhai M.B.B.S.”, which became a huge success.
