Arjun Rampal embarked on his acting journey with his debut in Rajiv Rai’s “Pyaar Ishq Aur Mohabbat” (2001) alongside Sunil Shetty, Aftab Shivdasani, and Kirti Reddy. His performance garnered widespread attention and critical acclaim, establishing him as a prominent actor in the industry. Following this success, he appeared in Ashu Trikha’s “Deewaanapan” opposite Dia Mirza, earning praise for his acting despite the film’s box office failure. Rampal’s next venture was “Moksha,” his first film although released after “Pyaar Ishq Aur Mohabbat,” where he starred alongside Manisha Koirala, receiving critical acclaim despite the film’s commercial setback.
In 2002, Rampal featured in Vipul Amrutlal Shah’s “Aankhen,” sharing the screen with Amitabh Bachchan, Akshay Kumar, and Sushmita Sen. He portrayed a blind character in this ensemble cast film, which achieved moderate success. His subsequent release, “Dil Hai Tumhaara,” failed to perform well commercially.
