Career

Anu Emmanuel began her acting journey with the lead role in the Nivin Pauly starrer Action Hero Biju, directed by Abrid Shine and produced by her father. Following this, she made her Telugu debut opposite Nani in the film Majnu, which proved to be a box-office hit. Shortly after, she was announced as the female lead in Oxygen, alongside actor Gopichand.

In 2017, Emmanuel made her Tamil debut with Thupparivaalan, starring alongside Vishal. The following year, she appeared opposite Pawan Kalyan in Agnyaathavaasi and opposite Allu Arjun in Naa Peru Surya. Additionally, she played the lead role in Shailaja Reddy Alludu alongside Naga Chaitanya and Ramya Krishna, and made a cameo appearance in Geetha Govindam. She also starred in her second Tamil film, Namma Veetu Pillai, opposite Sivakarthikeyan, which performed well at the box office.

In 2021, she appeared in Alludu Adhurs alongside Bellamkonda Sreenivas and Maha Samudram with Sharwanand. The following year, Emmanuel played the lead role in Urvasivo Rakshasivo opposite Allu Sirish and appeared in Ravanasura opposite Ravi Teja. She made her return to Tamil cinema in 2023, playing the female lead in Japan opposite Karthi.
