Career

Aditya Srivastava began his career as a theatre artist at Sangeet Samiti in Civil Lines, Allahabad, while he was pursuing his bachelor’s degree. In 1989, he moved to Delhi and started performing with the Shri Ram Centre for Performing Arts.

He made his television debut with the series “Dera” in 1992. In 1994, he played the role of Madhumoy Sur in the episode “Kahen Kavi Kalidas” of the TV show “Byomkesh Bakshi,” which aired on DD National. In 1997, he appeared in the television drama series “9 Malabar Hill,” playing the role of Majid on Zee TV. The following year, he acted in a few episodes of the thriller horror series “Aahat” on Sony Entertainment Television.

Aditya Srivastava’s Bollywood debut came in 1994 with the film “Bandit Queen,” where he played the role of Puttilal. In 1996, he appeared in the film “Sanshodhan,” starring Manoj Bajpayee. His performance as Inspector Khandilkar in the 1998 film “Satya” was highly appreciated by audiences. The same year, he played in the film “Dil Se..” and took on the role of a criminal named Paresh in an episode of the TV series “C.I.D.”

In 2000, he played a supporting role as Tito in the film “Dil Pe Mat Le Yaar.” Although he was initially offered the lead role, it was later given to Manoj Bajpayee. In 2001, he appeared as a guitarist named Murgi in Anurag Kashyap’s film “Paanch.” Although the film was not released in theatres, it was showcased at Osian’s Cinefan Festival of Asian and Arab Cinema in 2005.

In 2002, Aditya Srivastava appeared in the film “Saathiya.” Two years later, he played the role of Lt. Col. Pradeep in the Hrithik Roshan-starrer “Lakshya” and starred in “Black Friday.” In 2004, he also appeared in the horror television series “Raat Hone Ko Hai” on Sahara Manoranjan.

P. Singh for this role after being noticed in “Satya.” In 2009, he played Karan Singh in the film “Gulaal.” The following year, he took on the lead role of Sameer in the film “Kaalo.”
