Career

Mahima Makwana began her journey in the entertainment industry at the age of 10, auditioning for acting roles and appearing in television advertisements. Her television debut came with the show “Mohe Rang De” on Colors TV. She also appeared in popular shows like “CID,” “Aahat,” “Miley Jab Hum Tum,” and “Jhansi Ki Rani” as a child artist.

In 2011, Makwana landed a significant role as the parallel lead in Imagine TV’s “Sawaare Sabke Sapne… Preeto.” However, it was her portrayal of Rachana Garg/Rachana Kabir Tripathi in Zee TV’s “Sapne Suhane Ladakpan Ke” that brought her widespread recognition. Before securing this role, Makwana had endured over 500 auditions, highlighting her dedication to the craft.

Following her success in “Sapne Suhane Ladakpan Ke,” Makwana ventured into new projects. She played Ram Kapoor and Gurdeep Kohli’s daughter in the show “Dil Ki Baatein Dil Hi Jaane” in March 2015. Later that year, she signed on for “Adhuri Kahaani Hamari,” portraying the lead roles of Manasvini Choudhry and Radhika Khosla.

In 2017, Makwana took on the lead role of Anami Baldev Singh in the Star Plus show “Rishton Ka Chakravyuh.” She continued to impress audiences with her versatile performances, transitioning to the role of Mariam in Star Plus’ “Mariam Khan – Reporting Live” in 2018.

Makwana’s career expanded into films and web series from 2017 onwards. She made her film debut with the Telugu movie “Venkatapuram” and appeared in the short film “Take 2” in 2019, which garnered acclaim at various film festivals. Her digital debut came with “Rangbaaz Season 2” in 2019, followed by her role as Zoya in the web show “Flesh” in 2020.
